DSIP

DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide with sleep-inducing properties. Its mechanism of action and physiological activities are as follows:

Sleep-inducing Effects
DSIP, when administered intraventricularly or intravenously, significantly prolongs sleep duration and enhances delta and sigma waves (characteristic of slow-wave sleep) in the electroencephalogram (EEG).
